Saraswati Puja 2016

Event On : 13 Mar 2016

Saraswati Puja programs characterize the highest reverence to the Goddess of knowledge and arts. iLEAD celebrated the arrival of the Divine Mother on 13th February this year in its campus by observing all the rituals in full.

The morning started off with the usual anjali, followed by cultural activities, including painting and music. Students began with the Saraswati Vandana before going ahead with the rest of the events scheduled for the day. Following that was a dance program based on a medley of songs, 'Taal se taal mila' and 'Amar bhitor o bahirey'. What gave an impetus to the event were few recitations by faculty and staff members, Ms. Ishita D. Ray, Mr. Samrat Dey and Mr. Baldev Kumar Pandit. The cultural events of the day ended with students and teachers singing 'Mujhe Kya Bechega Rupaiya', the perfect ending to respect the association of Maa Saraswati and Women Empowerment.
Alongside the cultural event, a short art competition was held at the open air space on the rooftop.
Finally, the prize ceremony followed the cultural event for the Essay and Art competition held among the students and the employees separately. From the faculty, Mr. Goutam Shaw and Ms. Trinanjana Das won the art and essay writing competition respectively while Juhi Sett (BMS 2A) and Anisha Das (BMS 4) emerged victorious among students in the same order.
iLEAD's Chairperson, Mr. Pradip Chopra handed over the prizes and invited everyone to have lunch at the rooftop canteen shortly afterwards.
