What are we offering?

3 year UGC recognized degree course of B.Sc in Culinary Science at iLEAD affiliated under Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University (MAKAUT) in association with One Rep Global.

Why Culinary Science?

As per Research and Markets.Com, during the period of 2021-2025, market of quick service restaurants in India is expected to grow at a CAGR of 18%.

A report by Google and Boston Consulting Group suggested that India's online food delivery market will reach $8bn by 2022.

As per Redseer consultancy, India's food delivery market grew by almost 500% and reached $4.2 billion in 2 years to 2019.

According to FICCI, the Indian food services (organized and unorganized) which was at Rs. 3,37,500 crore in 2017 is projected to grow at a CAGR of 10 % in the next five years to reach Rs. 5,52,000 crore.

The unprecedented growth experienced in the culinary industry has brought about an increase in the demand for professional chefs.

  • Additional Courses and iLEAD Diploma Open or Close

    Once you are in iLEAD, you can also take up the short-term professional courses offered by iLEAD. One short-term course is offered completely free of cost to a regular iLEAD student. These courses help you to be industry ready. Classes for these courses are generally held during weekends.

    iLEAD DIPLOMA

    In order to impart holistic education to you and make you competent professionals in diverse fields, iLEAD goes beyond the curriculum and engages the students in challenging 'on campus' and 'off campus' activities. At least twice every month, experts from different fields are invited to deliver lecturers at iLEAD. Our students receive the Diploma at the end of the under graduate or post graduate programme as a value addition to the university degree. The diploma will mention the non academic credit points accumulated by the student in the six semesters of the graduation programme.

    Highlights of the Diploma Programme

    You can collect one credit point by imparting at least six hours of community service or being involved in co-curricular and extracurricular work. It is compulsory for our every student to take up at least one online course offered by Coursera. You will get two credit points on successful completion of one course.

    iLEADs Personality Development Programme

    A 60-hour training module for soft & life skills with focus on personality development (Compulsory for all students).
    A foreign language course for students.
    Field trips, internships, live projects.
    Participation in co-curricular and extracurricular activities.

  • Eligibility Criteria Open or Close

    Minimum 50% marks or above in Higher Secondary or equivalent examination (CBSE, ISC, A Levels or any other equivalent Board examination) with English as a compulsory subject.

    Students have to appear in Common Entrance Test (CET) of MAKAUT and the college Selection Rounds (Group Discussion & Personal Interview) for enrollment.

Please note that all the fees including semester fees, library and audiovisual lab fees are subject to revision from time to time. Students failing to pay their fees for any semester within the due date will be charged with a late fee of Rs.5, 000 to be paid along with the semester fees.


    Note: Refund/Adjustments in fees will not be considered under any circumstances in case a student wishes to discontinue with the course at any point of time OR shows disinterest to undergo the professional course offered by the institute OR is not interested to obtain the gadgets and equipment offered by the institute as a part and parcel of the specific course.
