iLEAD recently played host to the eminent director, Mr. Prakash Jha ahead of the release of the much anticipated 'Jai Gangaajal'. Mr. Jha, is known for making socially and politically relevant movies. His visit to iLEAD on 21st January 2016 along with actor Manav Kaul who has acted in the movie alongside Priyanka Chopra gave the students an opportunity to interact and learn from such stalwarts about not only movie making but their own journey. 'Jai Gangaajal' as the sequel of the sleeper hit, 'Gangaajal' (2003) stars Ms. Priyanka Chopra in the role of a tough female cop and her struggle in dealing with the system's corruption. The film is slated to release on 4th March, 2016.

The fact Mr. Jha doesn't shoot beyond 8 hours in a day and how he loves wearing different hats all at the same time (direction, script writing and acting) made for interesting lesser known facts about him. Finding the man in a carefree spirit who mostly deals with serious filmmaking was a welcome relief.
Manav Kaul was also in a jocund mood and said how each day taught him something new. That, he said, can help people live with optimism and hope.
Strange as it may sound, Mr. Jha never completed his graduation. He followed his dream of becoming a director, battling a number of obstacles. For him, life never had a turning point as every day was an experience in itself.
