On September 2nd 2022, the department of travel and tourism organized a field trip for the students. The iLEAD students had the opportunity to visit the Aircraft Museum at New Town, Kolkata. The Aircraft Museum is the first such museum in West Bengal and the 2nd one in India after Vishakhapatnam.

The Aircraft Museum is a joint initiative by the Indian Navy and the Government of West Bengal and is created to showcase the maritime history of India to the general public and students.

Students at the museum witnessed various submarines and aircrafts that were used by the navy but now are decommissioned. They also saw the Tupolev Tu-142 M maritime reconnaissance aircraft, the longest and heaviest turbo prop aircraft in the world that was made by the then USSR and was used by the Indian Navy for 30 years before getting decommissioned in 2017.
