On August 16th 2022, a debate session was organized by the Academics and Literary Club along with the Creative Team as a part of the Azaadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebration during the independence week.

The topic of the debate was ‘Freedom of Speech is a necessity in a functional society’.

Students from various departments signed in for the debate session both for the motion and against the motion. The time limit for each speaker was 2+1 minutes.

Aiema Tauheed from BMS 3rd Semester won the debate for the motion and Mehwish Hassan from BMS 3rd Semester won the debate against the motion.
